Some history of Good Earth...

Good Earth all started in the year of 2005 when Ryan Curtis and Brandon Hamel thought they should make a difference in people's lives.  Good Earth started out its journey with the Red Cross and Hurricane Katrina by donating a large sum of cash to go towards New Orleans and the victims of the disaster.  The organization moved on from there and started to put all of their energy and love into a garden.  This garden that they called "Garden of Hope," would soon be a long lasting symbol of hope towards a woman who had been diagnosed in the year of 2003, with the disease ALS.  The garden still remains on Good Earth's to do list every spring and through the garden season as they do other things for other causes.  In 2005, the organization had done alot of drives and plant sales and had raised over $500.00 in cash to go towards the WLNH Children's Auction.  With this money they purchased a Xbox, over $200.00 in gift cards and then donated the leftover money in cash.  When 2006 came along though, Good Earth had different plans for what they were going to do for the new year and how Good Earth was going to handle it.  When September came around they had planned a full 3.5 mile Walk-A-Thon, that they called Walk-A-Thon for the Kids.  Their motto was "Our Kids, Our Future."  This walk brought in over $4500.00 and more than 100 walkers.  It was great fun and a good way to raise money for the community and the Lakes Region area.  After the Walk Good Earth took part in a couple drives and sales and raised a total of $7000.00 to go towards the WLNH Children's Auction which was then filtered out around the Lakes Region Area to the needy, poor, sick and organizations that helped out with all of the above and more.  Recently Good Earth has adopted a area in front of the City Hall and now maintains the area with a beautiful garden that enriches the mind with a sense of color and beauty.  Good Earth would like to thank every single person or business that helped them achieve their goals and give them so much success to tell you about.

Events lead up to the year of 2006.
